Full-Time Heavy Equipment Mechanic Positions – Willamette Valley Locations

Job Duties and Tasks
Diagnose and repair a variety of large equipment. Familiarity of agricultural practices and equipment preferred.
Position requires working knowledge of diesel engine repair, air conditioning systems diagnostics and repair, tractor and combine hydraulic and electrical systems.
Reassemble machines and equipment following repair; test operation; and make adjustments as necessary.
Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws.
Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.
Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery.
Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Repair bent or torn sheet metal.
Clean and lubricate parts and record details of repairs made and parts used.
Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
Good communication skills and computer skills are beneficial.
CNH factory training and computerized diagnostic experience is a plus.

On Going Education Opportunities / Travel
Ongoing professional training at local, regional and national level will be provided to ensure a good understanding of the machinery diagnostics and repair procedures.
Training may include up to two one-week out of town trips for attending factory service training.
Wages / Benefits
Performance will be measured in terms of recovery rates and quality of repairs. This is a fulltime job, requiring overtime in the busy seasons of use.
